OPTIMUS-6G at the ETSI Open-Source Operator Platform (OpenOP) Plenary Meeting, hosted by Intracom Telecom in Athens, Greece on 23 July 2026.
The meeting was led by the Chair of ETSI OpenOP, Vasileios Theodorou, PhD, from Intracom Telecom, who also serves as the Technical Manager of OPTIMUS-6G. He was joined by Dimitris Gogos, Vasiliki Parousidou, and Kostas Chartsias from Intracom Telecom, who presented the latest developments and ongoing activities within ETSI OpenOP, highlighting the initiative’s progress and its growing ecosystem.
The plenary was also attended by OPTIMUS-6G Project Coordinator Nikolaos Petroulakis and Dissemination Manager Simos Symeonidis, PhD. Their participation reflects the project’s commitment to engaging with the standardization community, following emerging technologies and open-source developments, and identifying opportunities that may benefit the project’s future activities.
Active engagement with standards development organizations is a key objective of OPTIMUS-6G, ensuring that the project’s research remains aligned with the evolving European 6G landscape while contributing to the broader communications ecosystem.
